Thats right. Crazy as I am, I am looking to add some more character to my army by converting my old style ratlings to wear gillie suits (aka wookie suits). (for anyone who doesn't know what that is, look here: paintballsniper.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/ghillie-suit.jpg) Just wondering if anyone has experienced any materials that may work for this, as I don't fancy trying this in green stuff. Thanks Beans

I believe GW used to have a tutorial for their catachan snipers, including some medical patches soaked in PVA,draped over the models, however i can't find it again it appears

Yeah Hendrik's right. It's just medical gauze dipped in PVA, on strip at a time, let it dry for 24-48 hours.
Get some leafy bits (either small bits of leaf or stiff card, greenstuff if you're talented) and apply using PVA/superglue and then paint to desired effect.

Just GS, a hobby knife, and an old dentist's pick. Very easy to do...

Yup. Ashot went for a full suit, whereas I just went for a cloak, but essentially it's the same technique. Just apply a "sheet" of GS to the parts of the mini you want suited, drag shapes into the GS with a knife blade, or something that has a point to it (make sure to keep the tool tip wet so the GS doesn't stick to it). Once you're satisfied, set it aside to cure, then prime and paint in whatever colors you choose. Dry brushing is an especially useful technique to employ to bring out the texture once you get the base colors applied and have used any washes you want...

yeah... couldnt have put it better myself...
also long flat knee (to shin) pad panels are cool too if your going for a full suit...

Both of you are so talented with sculpting. *runs into Hampshire to kidnap Ashot and drag him back to Dorset to work as a sculpting slave* Ok Will have a try... Thanks all P.S. Awesome models and paint jobs, the both of you.

My plog is on the pictures threads... called edf eden defence force... check it out
