I'm not really sure of many manufacturer's that actually produce things like this. Most people just resort to building their own which requires a good amount of wiring. So you'll need to be able to hide or blend the wires in with your board some how.
I believe someone on the board recently built and wired their own prison or fort complex piece. It had lights and everything. If any one remembers who it was could you help me out? I want to say it was Yeti for his Valhallan army, but I can't remember off the top of my head

That prison was ace!! Id imagine it wouldnt be too hard with a very basic circuit board and three little LEDs or whatever you wanted to use... May find a guide using google to look for more realistic hobbies like model trains crossings or something?

Good point! I've been contemplating making a trench and shelled city table with lights. It would be interesting to hear any one's experience with this.

I also think it was Yeti who made that display board with the lights...

LED lights aren't a huge problem tbh, making them fliker might be. You can get yellow LEDs i think, and all you need then is some staws to push the wires through.

and what kinda blinking lights? like traffic lights or more of like light poles and stuff?

Maybe you could get in touch with the person who made this video and find out where they sourced them? Also found this website: www.moreleds.com/

Try eBay. That's where I'm getting my street lights for my board

Try Zinge industries, I believe they did flickering LEDs. If you want to go down the route of making your own, I've made a few simple (very very basic) circuits with flashing LEDs, and I'd happily give you my process. Edit, Forgot the HYPERLINK zinge.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=57

Good places to start here with other's advice. For my "prison" I used mostly constant lights from railroad setups. I do have a blinking light in the prison too that also runs off a train transformer... which means you are running wires from an electrical train conductor box that runs off of an outlet out to the light fixture.
So, look in train layout suppliers/forums. I'm sure it exists out there somewhere, just be ready to possibly have to wire it and plug it in.
Good luck!

Is there a picture of it after you finished painting?
