Has anyone seen or had an experience of painting holes on bases
What I mean is i would like to base a heavy weapons team so that they are in a fox hole but i imagine it will just look like a torso stuck to a base

I have an idea for this just haven't gotten round to doing it yet. What I would do is cut a circle of plasticard the same size as the bottom of the base, then cut the top of the base out. Glue your plasticard to the bottom giving you a recessed base. Then all you have to do is make it look like a foxhole.

Yup, I've done that with mortar teams, works well. Plus you can build up the edge with spoil.

ive always just use Greenstuff and sand, that idea looks pretty good. might try it with my dkok

Secret Weapon Minis do them already. Their store rocks.
Being a daft so-and-so I've made some (as above) and cast them in resin aready without realising. Needless to say myever expanding selection of resin bases will be quite a bit more interesting in the near future....
If anyone wants any of the 'blanks', feel free to PM me and we can work something out, that probably won't involve mutilating your own fingers with a scapel and patching holey bases up with plasticard.....
