the drop troops doctrine, does it cost any extra points? all is their any other require ment? because it seems to give a lot for very little as I read. (ie all your infantry deep strike for free)
and where in the rule book are the deep strike rules?? page number would help or just say which bit, its not in universal special rules.

So, deepsktrike is free, no catches or anythings, it's just really good, for no points.

nope, only in gamma and omega level games (which is 2/3 the time once you start playing games using the missions out of the book)

you should try looking in the drop trops section for questions on drop troops, there is alot there that would help you.

It is a very good doc IMO cos it is free, and gives u a lot of flexibility, especially if u mix it with light inf.
It does have it's draw backs of course, especially if using lots of foot troops. 1 platoon is a minimum of 25 guys. U roll for a platoon in 1 dice roll. That is a lot of guys to find space for on a table, and if they can't land, they are dead. So u need to be a bit careful about how many guys u are going to DS, and were they are going to land.
Improved comms are good for this, as u may find u want to reroll a reinforcements roll if oyu pass it so u have decent landing sites.
