So I just wanted to make sure I had this right, please correct me on anything I have wrong. Also feel free to offer guidance on how you use these.
Some grenades you can use in both the shooting and assault phase.
Krak grenades can be used in assault only against vehicles or monstrous creatures.
Melta Bombs can only be used during assault on a vehicle or monstrous creatures.
Things like frag grenades or Marbo's Demo Charge use the 2d6 scatter die like other blast weapons.
Marbo can shoot during his first turn on the table, which would include using his demo charge, but the demo charge does not have to target a vehicle or monstrous creature.
I think that's everything I was wondering about.

Actually, you can throw krak grenades. They hit like any other ranged weapon, no blast. You hit or miss based on your BS. Page 62 of the main rulebook.

Don't forget that when using any kind of krak weapon you must exclaim "'CHU WAN' SUM KRAK!?!?!?!?!?!"
<.< >.>
Others who know why can explain it to you. I'm drunk...

I misread the original statement as "In Assault, Krak Grenades may only be use against Vehicles and Monstrous Creatures." English is confusing

WestRider, you read it right. I should have typed it out different.
And thank you Trooper, I will try to remember that.

You're welcome. This may or may not be a tradition that was started in my original gaming group by the person who introduced me to 40K. They went to college at the Savannah College of Art and Design, which has its campus located in the middle of a slum. My friend would have denizens of said slum approach him and say that phrase to him while he was on his way to and from classes. It seemed that the denizens of the slum were attempting to get my friend to enter into some sort of transaction with them involving the exchange of goods of dubious provenance for cash...
