It's about time I posted something other then about Curious Constructs, so here's my main project at the moment - my Leviathan.
It's been on the go for some time now, years in fact, but until a month or so ago it had spent a couple of years under the bed waiting for me to have the chance to come back to it.
It's built from a pair of Baneblades, a load of Cities of Death buildings, a metric ton of plasti-card, and a liberal raid from my bits box. It's finally back on the work bench because I'm off to Warhammer World for a campaign weekend in April, and they've given me the okay to use it as a Fortress of Redemption!
I'm a slow painter at the best of times, as anyone who has followed my blog might know, so I drafted in the help of a friend to do the basecoat with his airbrush to help speed things along.
Now its my turn again, I'm gonna paint it like my other vehicles with strong edge highlights, the statues will probably be bronze, and there's an awful lot of iconography to pick out, including the massive aquilla on the front of the hull. Hav'nt made a final decision on how to do the windows just yet - I'm thinking some sort of stained glass effect, but as yet unsettled on if I'll do that for definite, and if I do, how! Open to ideas!
