Greetings and salutations IGMB! It's been a while since I've roamed these halls. After unsuccesfully trying to sell my IG I've come to the conclusion it wasn't meant to be. Going to give the boys another go and dust them off and see what I can accomplish with the Emperors finest.
This is just a hello/re-introduction post. Some may still remember my old display name of sonofwaranddeath or simply SOWAD as I was called.
Anyways, I left before feeling like I knew the Guard fairly well in and out and return back a few years later and a whole other edition only to feel like a noob again.
My first goal will be to assemble and paint a 1000pt force for an upcoming team tournament, so any and all advice on a list will be most welcome as I'm not sure if the same lists from almost 3 years ago are still viable in this edition. My teammate will be a Draigo-wing GK player if that helps.
Thanks and salutes to all!

Welcome back! I wondered where you scampered off to. Are you still reenacting down there in NC?

Interestingly enough, I had just thought of you in the back of my mind when an ad asked if I wanted to join the Cobra Commandos.

@ RedsandRoyals: Thanks! Been sitting over at the B&C with my Space Wolves. No, not actively. Last event I did was in late 2010, Battle of New Bern. Haven't had the time or money to, and I recently heard that my group, the 7th NC has split into the 5th and the 7th so I dont know what's up with that. @ ElegaicRequiem: HA! Been a while since I've used that old avatar. Might have to bust it out for the new GI Joe movie.

I don't know whether to welcome you back, or shoot you as a traitor! Trying to sell your guard?!? Pfft!

I don't know whether to welcome you back, or shoot you as a traitor! Trying to sell your guard?!? Pfft! Tough times call for tough measures. But the emperor obviously didn't want them gone since I've still got them!

So wait... Does Kassill need to have a tissue sample collected, any equipment he currently has confiscated, and new useless equipment issued along with a suicide mission?

Better do it just to be sure.

Better do it just to be sure. Right. *Takes a tissue sample from the new-old member with a dull, rusty spoon so that clones may be produced as needed* You'll know why when it happens.*Directs members of the Munitorum, with assistance from the Commissariat if required, to strip the new-old member of any equipment and armor that he currently has, and to issue him with a bendy straw and an inch square piece of soggy, single-ply cardboard* Use this equipment to go and take down that rampaging Chaos Warlord Titan over there! Go! Go! Go! FOR TEH EMPRAH!!! Upon successful completion of your mission you may be allowed to petition the Munitorum for better equipment.Welcome back to the IGMB!

And people say, "Hostile work environment!" But look how much we've already given you.

And people say, "Hostile work environment!" But look how much we've already given you. Indeed. That inch square piece of soggy, single-ply cardboard required the harvesting of all the trees from only one jungle planet to produce, due to recent improvements made by the Adeptus Mechanicus to make their production techniques more efficient. And only ten billion Servitors were destroyed during the production of the bendy straw due to Adeptus Mechanicus facility safety upgrades... <.< >.>

Just don't ask what made the cardboard soggy.
It was all for the Emperor.

Just don't ask what made the cardboard soggy. It was all for the Emperor. Wait... What? You mean it wasn't "Tears of the Emperor" that soggy-fied the cardboard?
