Without changing the model, I realise the storm looks right for the guard. Read eisenhorn books and the skimmers feature quite a bit. At the moment just the three crew. Once painted up, I will add a heavy bolter gunner and an under slung autocannon. So, question is, what rules / point values would you consider for such a unit?

For a chimera?

Ahh. However, I need to assume a capacity of 10 troops though. Add 10 points?

Sounds good to me! Cheers fella.
Looking at actual seating. I reckon with pilot and gunner you old seat 8. One on each running board = 10.

I think I'd count it as one of the Elysian vehicles, as a Salamander, or (given its transport capacity) a Centaur. Otherwise, don't even bother with pointing it up, and use it for special scenarios with whatever rules seem appropriate.

Alternative to chimera works for me. I agree though, it will come into its own on small special games.

Very cool, I built one myself as well and used a Valkyrie HB that swings back for the rear passengers to use, kept the front HB and ML as is and used Elysian guardsmen. I had thought about switching the ML for a AC and the rear passenger HB to a stubber, but the parts didn't look right. As far as rules wise, I kept the capacity at 5 passengers and the pilot. A transport for my Elysian Kill Team. Looking forward to see you get it painted!

Now that is a very neat idea! Your paintwork is much better than anything I achieve, very cool.
Psssst! Do yourself a favour though, drill out the bolter barrel!

Will do eventually, that's the next step to improve my army.. a lot of gun barrels I am currently working on my tau, magnetizing parts and taking off MT from vehicles etc.

Digits and MacKnight: These are pure awesome, and now you've got me thinking about trying to build one for my 'Chans! Or just for show.

In an old WD there was a guy who did a Catachan army based on colonel Kilgore's cavalry from Apocalypse Now!. Every vehicle was some sort of hovercraft made from land speeders. The chimeras were basically just land speeders with an elongated hull to make room for troops. It could very easily be done with one of these as well.
