Next update, carrying on from the second box of Assault on Black Reach (and using a terminator from the third box set...) I came up with a converted plasma fannon wielding version of the multi melta dreadnought:    And the second five members of the terminator squad:  Next update will be the third tactical squad (so the third version of that same sergeant model!) |

Looking really nice, Lupus, and it's good to see you back!  Really good use of the Necron bits to bionic up bog standard Marines. Regarding the Scouts, I could swear that they do get their left hand replaced with a bionic as soon as they survive the trials and become a Neophyte. I recall reading this in one of the Iron Hands novels that is out there--although in the case of the character I'm thinking of it may have been required because his left hand got mangled during his final battle in the trial... |

Your wish, or demand, is my... consideration. Or excuse for Exterminatus... I haven't decided which yet But regardless of such details, here's an update anyway! Decided it was time for Captain Iago to have a command squad. As you may remember, the AoBR set contained no command squad, so I bought the normal command squad box set and... bionic'ed them up...  The company champion recieved 'rather a large amount of enhancement' - it seemed appropriate as an exemplar of the Iron Hands ideals. All his limbs are replaced with bionics, and he received the most 'bionic enhanced' looking head. I may at some point add a small servo arm (like on the missile launcher marine backpack) to assist him in his administrations... |

So, as I mentioned, I just couldn't resist giving the Dark Vengeance Librarian the 'Iron Hands' touch... one bionic arm, an iron Hands shoulder pad and a Force Staff later - Epistolary Laikus Vann began:    Not much left to add now - a jump pack toting Iron Father (Chaplain) and a MKII armour assault squad to accompany him... Thanks guys A Master of the Forge seems appropriate in a Iron Hands force... but that servo harness needs more arms... and some servo skulls... Forge Master Hadrien Land:    So, as you may have noticed, I had a bit of a play around with this guy. Swapped his auspex hand for a bolt pistol hand, cut off the two plasma pistols from a spare version to make the quad plasma cutter, used the remains of that appendage to add the fifth (middle top) ark welder arm, swapped around the appendage ends to have them in different positions to the original, and added a couple of servo skulls. He seems fitting for his title now... |

Ok, firstly an apology for the latest update being delayed - I've recently been admitted to hospital for Septic Arthritis (in the hand I use to paint...), Lymphatitis, and ascending Cellulitis. No idea what all that meant, but I do know it was painful (and apparently life threatening... go figure...). Anyway, I've escaped now... I mean, been released... so time for the update I was planning to upload. First is Iron Father (chaplain) Pallus Vann:   Coversion using the Flesh Tearers Gabriel Seth model and a Raptor jump pack for the most part. And here's an assault squad for him to hang around with:  Forge World MkII Iron Armour assault squad. EDIT: Not sure why those links didn't work earlier but they should be fixed now... |
