I've been playing guard for a while now and last year I was able to acquire a friends guard army or at least a good chunk of it. Last night I finally got around to reorganizing it to fit in with what I already had, I tore some models apart to give them different weapons so I could get what I needed to fills out squads the way that I want them. So as the first part of what makes me cry is this pic... This is one my platoons, still needs some touch ups and to finish washing them all. Now to make everyone else cry a little (some for different reasons than others). This is what makes me cry a little, I have to finish painting and repainting all of this... Just makes you cry a little doesn't it? Lein

Personally, I would think that it would be awesome, always having something to hand to paint if I felt like it....
Off topic, is it just me or does dave have a picture a forest in his sig, the same one that I've been studying for art merely five minutes ago...

Maybe it was my PC, I had just spent nearly 30 minutes writing about it, with it covering most of my PC screen... Back on topic, the unpainted ones, does it make it easier painting models primed to an off white colour? I've seen quite a few tutorials where they paint on grey or beige primer. Good luck with the painting, yousa send outsa grand army

You are going to be a fantastic painter by the time you're done with those!

@bg. Foster.. At the moment I have something over 600 infantry and around 40+ heavy weapon teams for another 80+ guardsmen.
@ Empirespy... I have found that it really depends on how you want your minis to look when their done. A white base coat will give you a bright color, while a black one will make the colors darker and shades of grey will give you the shades in between. I use black as it gives me the shade of blue that I want.
As to me being a great painter when I finish all of these, I can only hope... but I should be able to do it really fast by the time I'm done.
