Hey all, just got done painting up a veteran squad for my regiment after having stripped my entire army, put them on scenic trench and ruined urban bases, and put the veterans in kilts. The tartan made my eyes go a bit crossed...

Pretty cool! Though, I kinda think the Sgt should have a fancier hat.

Glad you think so. And as far as the hat goes, based on the sculpting of the head I think that was supposed to be hair... I will have to touch that up to make that more apparent.

Beautiful work on the tartans on those kilts. I could only dream of having a hand that steady.

Between that and the Tourette's, it's a wonder I can feed myself.

Nice! Few intersting conversions. I especially like those bodyguards. Where are their heads from?

The shields are from the Bretonian men at arms box and the helmets are from the Empire Greatswords box.

Truly inspiring army. The Kilts are superb detailing.
Have you thought about any vehicles for this army?

Yeah, just a few... I also have my version of the Deathstrike missile launcher modeled as an artillery spotting vehicle for a massive artillery piece back much further in friendly territory. Once these and the first platoon are done I will either get parts for some Chimeras or 6 Basilisks. I am focusing on artillery for the most part.

Okay, this army is full of win... However, you absolutely need a Piper, and should probably convert up a field kitchen unit cooking up haggis and distributing fine bottles of single malt to the troopers.

I really want the piper from Victoria Lamb, I would be using it as a Regimental Banner counts-as. As far as the kitchen unit goes, the closest thing I have to that at the moment would be the Platoon command squad with their 4 flamers... Barbecue anyone? I may just have to make a just for fun unit or something similar to the halfling hot pot unit.

I never liked the LR chassis but in your version it looks really good. Can't wait to see your other tanks!

Thank you, I rather like the LR chassis for heavy artillery.

Like my Powerlifter Sentinel and cargo pallet of 50 gallon drums of booze, or the crates of porn being guarded by Warrior Woman from the Last Chancers' set.

Hopefully it will all be painted soon.
The kilts are from Victoria Lamb miniatures that I got from a friend and the gas mask heads are from West Wind Productions. Mix of GW parts from various lines and kits for the rest.
