This is my new Painting Blog for my Imperial Guard, the 22nd Harakoni Warhawks. I will be useing the Mantic 'Corporation' Range as a base for this Army. It will also be using Air Support over Tanks, so there will be more Wings than Tracks here I'll be posting a couple of pictures of my first 2 guys later tonight! I hope you guys enjoy this Army, because, thus far, they have been a treat to paint. The Mantic Models themselves, are amazing! And coming in cheaper than GW's Cadians, who am I to grumble about the Limited poses? Dave

cool models, how do they compare to their cadian counterparts in terms of scale?

They seem to fit the Scales pretty well. From what I've seen elsewhere, they are about the same size as FW Guard . Dave

Nice idea, but I would recommend that you water down the colours a bit. Now it seems to be one thick coat, and that ain't optimal.
Looking forward to see more! They're cool minis :-)

That's alot of brown, are they meant to look rusty/muddy?
Can you put cadian arms on them? Or Las guns?

danesk- Cheers dude I'll try an wtaer the paints down more on the next mini, either a Heavy Weapon's team or Harker @adken- The brown was more of a base colour actually... Thats just the Camera showing up a shoddy paintjob >.> They look much better in person As for attatching Cadian arms... With a bit of chopping I don't see why not... But the Elysian arms would probably fit much better. Dave

I recommend painting a few more testers before you start on special models like Harker or ones that draw attention like the heavy weapon teams. Isn't it better to have a couple of random squad does with inferior paint jobs than things you'd want to show off? That's just my opinion, and how I roll myself when the painting urge strikes. Alternatively do Harker, because then you're going to put more effort in than you would on a random trooper that's what I did with my Imperial Fist sternguard showcase way back in the day and it worked brilliantly

Then you can wave your Harker I'm Cosmic's face and be like "YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY GUY WITH THE MAD SKILLS BRO!"

Then you can wave your Harker I'm Cosmic's face and be like "YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY GUY WITH THE MAD SKILLS BRO!" And I shall slink away into the dark quietly sobbing Good work so far, Dave. As others have said, thin your paints, and paint in layers. At the moment they colours aren't quite full enough, they're very streaky and need a bit more building up. Will you be doing any tanks and vehicles for this lot?

Good start, Dave! As others have mentioned, the only criticism I have is that the white will need to be applied in several thin layers to build up its opacity, but aside from that they're looking good!
