I think you're looking at this all wrong, while having a 26ft board would be cool it's overkill unless you are running a huge tournament. I would be more inclined to set it up like a model railway layout. If you want I can mock up an example.

It is rather extreme, make it all yourself for £50+self satisfaction.

I am also considering a £700 investment in terrain. I'm just sick and tired of playing on the same static boards with flimsy terrain that I can currently put together so yeah. I approve this post

I wouldn't want to be in a 4x4 space with someone else for longer than 30 seconds

Its pure jealousy, still sorting out my mortgage hopefully a new job will pop up and I can be reckless too Although i would buy lots of materials and make my own purly because I enjoy that side of the hobby more than playing. I do like your idea but it might be bettet to have it a bit shorter and wider to allow more players on at once.

I'm sorry but I'm pretty well off for what I do, but You won't catch me spending this amount of money on a gaming board, sure you want to have something "Nuttsy" but I think you could go nuts in a diffrent way, with out spending a shed load hard cash my friend.
Having said that, If I was going to spend that amount of Money, I would go apesh!t and Buy a load of Tiatans and Reaver Titans.

Would you not like to make your own wall sections and get certain IGMB members to mold and cast them? That way you'd be paying considerably less.... I love the crazyness of this idea. I hope you have a grand hall in the country where you can set this up in the Banqueting Hall Either way, good luck, and please post pictures!

Are you sure you couldn't just use multiple smaller tables which can be split up to form different board like city fight and plant strike and then just have bridging boards connecting different scenery to each other and having transition zones and the like for big gaming events?

/posts i think this will be much more intersting to use. first of all there's cost, second of all, they seem to take up less space for storage, which is a major problem with terrain! personally i would invest in some of this kickstarter battlescape terrain, a couple of sheds, some big boards and a cupboard to place all my terrain into

by transition zones what i mean to link the different boards together you could have a couple spare 'city edge' or 'checkpoint' boards to put between them depending upon the said board to board transition
