I have posted this on my facebook page. I'll contribute something when I know where I am with money, probably after we move now though.

$2000 are the bills for treatment he's already had. $13000 is the expected total, maybe even more. I think Trooper wrote it somewhere.

Hey i've helped spread the word, but i'm confused that your target is $13,000 whilst the Vet bills seem to come to $2000. I'm not saying you're trying to use your dog as a way to earn money, but i'm really confused D; $2000 are the bills for treatment he's already had. $13000 is the expected total, maybe even more. I think Trooper wrote it somewhere. The approximately $2000 in bills I posted photos of is what I have "proof" of that I've paid. The emergency clinic and surgery center director wasn't comfortable with me releasing the estimates they had quoted me for his subsequent care over the weekend after he was initially there Thursday night and Friday morning and had been released to my regular vet Friday morning (even though those estimated amounts have pretty much already been met by spending) and asked me only to use invoices that had been "closed" (i.e. invoices provided after he'd been released from their facility). But rest assured, I have burned through about $13,000 since this all started--maxed out one of my credit cards, paid it all down over the phone by direct transfer from my checking account, still waiting for its credit limit to regenerate, and had to pay the surgery fees today directly out of my checking account. Still waiting for a call providing me with what the estimate will be. The center director will be providing me with an overall invoice for everything spent over the weekend, and the surgery costs, once L'il Man has been released back home--or to my regular vet...

Thank you so much!
The good news is that I have not had anyone from the emergency center bring up the issue of needing to generate another estimate for continuing care costs since L'il Man's surgery, and I still had some money from the latest weekend care cost estimate that had yet to be used (the surgery cost estimate was separate) so I'm hoping that the cost for his recovery may be less than I was anticipating. Of course, this assumes that he does not suffer any complications... Or that someone in the financial section of the emergency center hasn't dropped the ball and has forgotten to speak to me about generating a new estimate.

I'm sorry to read about L'il Man's troubles, I hope that he get's better. I had to go through the same sort of thing with one of my cats, Ifrit, earlier this year. Unfortunately, he didn't make it. I ended up spending a lot of money on vet bills too, so I know how hard it can be.

Thanks, Trickstick. Unfortunately, that's also what happened with L'il Man--he had to be put to sleep on the evening of the 11th. I've got to get the final bill total posted up to the fundraiser...

Thanks, Trickstick. I should be picking up his ashes tomorrow. Also got a nice card from my regular veterinarian today that was signed by the staff.

I just got back from picking up L'il Man's ashes... His urn, paw prints, and favorite toys: A portion of his ashes that I will scatter where my mom and dad's ashes were scattered: His ashes, favorite toys, and a sympathy card from my regular veterinarian on display on a shelf of the bookcase I was building when he became ill:
