Hey guys I'll start by mentioning that I've been on the site and love viewing others work. I have been playing Warhammer 40k for a few years now sparsely. I play SM my own home-brew chapter. So anyways back to IG... I've started gathering some IG maybe a year or two ago and have partially completed some of it, some are glued, some still in bits. My inspiration was starship troopers one of my favorite movies. So later I'll put up some pics of what I'm working with and post them as I finish each unit or however I do it. Right now my army definitely has - CCS
- PCS
- 2x Infantry squads
- 2 Sentinels
- A Leman Russ Exterminator
- Veteran Squad
- Heavy Weapons Squad
- and Stormtroopers
I think with all of the extra bits and models I have I can probably also get another Veteran Squad and some type of Command Squad. I will try to keep you guys updated. Ask me questions if you wish. And I'll add pics soon. [/ul]

I'll be keeping an eye on this, Starship Troopers is excellent and I've always wanted to try a Mobile Infantry style force. Welcome to the board I take it the infantry with be in Grey mainly like the Mobile Infantry?

*Shouts* "Remember your training and you will survive!" *Gets ganked by the first Bug that crosses the crest of the hill* I look forward to seeing what you come up with, as I love "Starship Troopers" despite all the naysayers who claim it isn't accurate to the novel. Of course it wasn't--it would be hard to do the novel complete justice with an adequate budget, and the studio only gave Verhoeven half of the funding he needed, but it was still good... Also Dina Meyer... Mmmm.

But I have sooo much more to do. not to mention all the side projects I'm working on(my friend commissioned me to paint two smallish armies) so I am going to be busy.

*Shouts* "Remember your training and you will survive!" Ahem.....'Remember your training! And you will make it back alive!' You should be ashamed for not getting that quote correct, Trooper Some good work here my friend, will we be seeing some dead Tyranid/Arachnids on the bases?

Actually, we're both incorrect, Cosmic. According to IMDb it's "Remember your training, and you will make it out alive!"

lol Thanks. Umm my friend may have been starting to play nids so if I can I shall acquire some bitz from him, if not I may get some off of ebay. But they would add to my army's surrounding theme. So I'll see what goes on.

Ok, last steps on my Russ and sentinels. I have my graduation tomorrow, so I will probably finish and have the updates on Sunday depending on how quickly I hide away from my family. Btw everything is getting based at the same time so no amazing tyranid strewn bases yet.and if madrobot makes those "spaceship soldier" heads I requested everyone should expect those to be included in my guard.

Probably vets next. Waiting for MadRobot's goodies before I finish my infantry. Soon I'll be ordering some chimeras and wheeled conversion for them along with some FW Heavy bolter turrets. Then with the leftover sides and treads I'm going to attempt to make some Bane Wolves and a Devil Dog maybe. Basing stull will be bought soon after I get all of my chimera stuff.

It's looking as a good start!
But the metal on the tank needs some depth... You should really wash it, it's really clean and almost feel "sticky" in the pictures as of now. It seems although that the sentinels have had some wash on their metal parts. And the same for the skin of your men. A wash and you've taking a long step in raising the armys looks in a couple of minutes!
I do like the camoflauge on the vehicles! And the hunter-killer and HS conversions! I've never seen a HS done that way, and it's really interesting! A little tip when taking the pics: Have a piece of paper behind, so that you might avoid the crac between cardbords. Cracs like that will easily destroy a pic unfortenatly. And try to take the pics using the sun! In front of a window or something like that!
I'm eager to see more!

Thanks for the tips. Noted. I'll go back and do the washes soon. And as for the men I haven't really finished any of them so I have work for them too. But thanks again for the tips.
