After weeks and weeks of figuring out good Doctrine choices, looking at troops and such, I've figured out some basic ideas for the formation of my company. Tell me what you think.
Doctrines
Iron Discipline Drop Troops Conscripts Ogryn Close Order Drill
The idea is to have two armies- a static, shooty army to grab the enemy's attention, and a tunneling army (Drop Troops) to pop up and give him a nice, friendly, Meltagun hello!
Static troopers would have Grenade Launchers and Autocannons, and the tunneling troops would have flamers (no real reason for them to have heavy weapons, as most likely they'll be dust when the enemy finds them, or they'll scatter off the board.)
Static Command sections would have 2x Plasmaguns and a Lascannon, tunneling CS would have a Meltagun and maybe a few plasma (again, don't want to waste so many points when they go off the board).
Hardened Vets would be taken, with 3 Plasma and a Lascannon. Also get some H. Bolter FS Squads and M. Launcher AT Squads for my HQ Command. I'd stick these behind my static defenses and use them to lay down some good enfilading fire on anyone who dares to come forward.
Conscripts would be used to screen valuable things, such as my Leman Russ or my Basilisk. Or I can use them to charge the enemy should things become dire.
Ogryn would be mounted in a Chim and used to...well, do what Ogryn do. Bash stuff. Into smithereens. Anything I dub worthy of banutsude, I'd send their Chim its way.
Working for a 2000 pt army. Any flaws in my plans?

Forgot the mention Sents (2 groups of 2 w/ Multilasers) harrying the flanks and a HH for good measure.
Also, 2 Lemans and a Basilisk.

I am not sure if you have enough anti-personnel, if I were you I wold cut some of the Lascannons and replace them with heavy bolters.

would you rather not have deep striking storm troopers? they would have a better chance of hitting with a meltagun and a better chance of recieving enemy fire behind enemy lines seen as there not gonna say hello and shoot the guy 50 metres away

if you plan to use the infamous 'suicide squad' doctrine that is drop troops, you need (in my opinion)
heavy flamer sentinals for killing enemy light infantry (good against Tau)
Special weapons teams with demolition charges.
If this is not a touranment amry, then use your conscripts as an uber-cheap firebase by using the forge world ground scanner (rules downloadable from forgeworld, place the conscripts in area terrain (giant ruins are excellent for this) and the scanner behind it where it cannot be shot at.... The conscripts use heavy bolters and grenade launchers to pepper the enemy without mercy, and get to re-roll all their misses. Ouch....
