Ive been lurking on this site for quite a while now while Ive painted up a lot of my army. The one thing i think ive learned after seeing all these guys paint...
Im not even going to try to be that good. I am too sloppy a painter and with too little attention to spend so much time on those models. Props to all yall on the rest of this site.
Instead ive painted my Imperial Guard "The weird way," which in essence is not weird at all... just lazy.
Although i do enjoy fluff. And here is mine:
 Well that was a lot, and ill finish it later. (Thats going to become a theme). Lets get down to the actual pics. The basic idea i wanted for my army was to have several different vet squads with different loadouts that were all given an order each turn by creed (My rago). They are supported by a lot of tanks.
I want to create names for all the different squads, and if you guys wanna help me out there that would be great.
This was the first squad that i painted. They have 3 grenade launchers and a missile launcher. They are due for a makeover that i havent got around to yet. They are one of the few squads that i still need to paint their heavy weapon squad.
This is the second (and much better) painted squad. They have 3 snipers and an autocannon. (Not painted)
This is my 3rd, and absoultely worst painted squad of the bunch, all except for their cloaks. Their faces are screwed up and i need to fix them. They have camo cloaks and a hvy bolter (Not painted.)
These are my vost... ahem my "Parseican elite". I always loved the vostroyan models and i wanted some. They have carapace and a hvy bolter (Actually pained, yay!)
I love Victoria Miniatures. Her models sometimes make me wish i had done a Highlander regiment.
Sometimes...
But not when i look at this guy. He makes me smile. I saw the minoutaur painted by J-Paint on this site and i wanted him to be my nork.
I love this guy .
Here is my squad that is attached to the hades breaching drill according to the rules. I muddied them up for good measure.
Here they are next to my unfinished Hades breaching drill.
Now time for some tanks.
This is my Company command squad in various degrees of finished. The Death korps engineers have bare arms. They look pretty sweet.
I cannot wait to paint these guys. They will be a Penal squad.
Wow, that was a lot. In any case any criticism is welcome.

Although i do enjoy fluff. And here is mine:
Parseica is a planet that enjoys much more variation than most designated imperial planets. There are oceans, valleys, mountains, caves and a differentiation of scenery that while described thusly, should make the Ministorum have a much harder time then they did coming up for the label of Parseica.
But Parseica is a death world. Everything on this world is polluted, whether by natural means or by human production some millennial ago one can not be sure. The oceans bubble and throth. The lakes are full of acidic elements that will boil flesh. Rain that constantly pounds the ground on the highlands of one of the few continents is also extremely acidic, and there nothing grows. Therefore, not much but the hardiest of plants grow on Parseica, for that reason it excludes many edible plants as well. The rock has been so corroded by ages of acid rain that any useful minerals are essentially dust. The air in the mountains is sulfurous and mostly poisonous. Most metallics that exist on the surface in such heavy
Essentially, for the people who live on such a planet, life is hard, dangerous, but most of all disgusting.
Who would live on such a planet? There was a small imperial colony centuries ago, but after a warp storm blocked access to the subsector Parseica was left to it's own devices, and imperial society (what little that could be sustained) disintegrated.
When the warp storm finally passed and the Imperial forces came back in order to retake the planets they were cut off from, Parseica had devolved into a small number of differentiated tribes, living in the own manner based on the varied terrain they made their home from. Their languages devolved to become incoherent from each other. Eventually with the breakdown of communication these tribes would often war with each other.
The demeanor these people carry is own of cynicism and fatalism. The world knows little to no comforts and nobody can live long on the planet and death is always constant, for it seems no matter how strong or smart one is, the land can easily claim even the most aware just by the constant bombardment of the harmful surroundings.
The most prized element a person can have on Parseica is a will to survive and tenacity.
When the warp storm abated however, the Imperial forces were not the only ones to land. Only a year or so after the recolonization efforts began, the Orks attacked the planet in mass.
The imperial guard responded in kind. One of the regiments mustered to help defend the sector was the Victorian guard. Their leader, Rago Ramirus was the corporeal of the 182 Victorian Guard. They were to be dropped into the hottest part of the surrounding battle, but there was a mix up, and they were deposited directly on top of the orc forces.
They were subsequently slaughtered, most before they could even land.
The rest of the 182nd were forced to scatter into the nearby terrain, where even more died to the harmful elements in their surroundings.
Ramirus was distraught by the death of his regiment. He was angry, but not at himself but at the orks. More than anything else he wanted to see them pay.
It was Ramirus who rounded up the seperate tribes and focus them into a working fighting force. (To be continued)
