Is this a commissar from Catachan or one that adopted and adapted to Catachan culture?

Is this a commissar from Catachan or one that adopted and adapted to Catachan culture? Well, when I placed third, the guy said he would custom make any infantry sized model I wanted. I have wanted a commissar for a while but it didnt fit with my catachan fluff. So, I thought up a story of how I got a commissar into my army. Not sure of the specifics yet, but no self respecting Catachan would ever become a commissar. So, I assume a commissar was given the dreaded task of leading a company of Catachans. Well, during this assignment papers were shuffled, and he was forgotten about. Left on his own for months/years with the jungle brutes, he adapted to their way of life in order to survive the harsh realities of front line fighting. Eventually, he did some great feat of bravery that earned him their respect. While still a commissar in name, he is but a fragment of the propaganda minister he was before.

Technically, you have no choice in the matter of becoming a commissar Commissars are orphans of high-ranking officers from either Guard or Navy. I do like the little backstory for him, it's pretty neat

Renown for their exaggeration and d1ck swinging, I doubt a Catachan would even qualify for a Commissar position. They tend to leave them bleeding in a ditch. I wouldn't put it past a Catachan to disappear into the jungle even if it was somehow selected for Commissar training.

If it was possible to escape from the Schola Progenium, I'm sure that Ciaphas Cain would have figured out how to do so, and we wouldn't have the entertaining stories of his life and times as a Commissar spent running while screaming, pooping his pants, and hiding from all of the Imperium's various enemies for our reading pleasure.

I understand what you're sayinh, but there's no way that there is such a thing as a Catachan commissar. There might be a commissar that was born on Catachan, but they'll have been taken out of there way before anything remotely Catachan could manifest itself in the orphan's psyche. But I'm just being annoying now, I know. I just love the fluff and like to tell others about it.

Well, he or she must've been taken out of there right quick, since so many of the population die before they can even walk... Remember: 'Chans are (one of) my armies.

Well, if you want to get down and dirty... It's completely possible that some Catachan horndog colonel had a one-night stand with some female officer or navy woman (look at Ciaphas Cain. He got lucky with everything from Mechanicus initiates to Inquisitors). Both die in the next theatre of war, bam, instant orphan made from Catachan stock.

The Schola Progenium isnt stupid, they'd eventually understand that the Chans dont respect anyone who isn't from Catachan and would perhaps try to recruit young catachan (orphans?) to become domestic Commissars. Mind you i doubt that would work.
People from harsh climates never respect (trust) anyone in fine robes unless it's well earnt...

I mean the life expectancy for commies on catachan is extremely low and being stationned there must be like being a Britsh officer in the 1800s and being sent to the carribean (nicknamed the yellow islands due to the yellow bellied fever that killed thousands of settlers) a.k.a a death sentence. The commies sent there are most likely outcasts from within the schola progenium
