Just ordered mine so excited £500 on it being made of resin... Looks like some sort of secreted resin. Yeah, but secreted from what? cheers, always find asking people I know and have seen their work is the best method. But think I'll have to mix a lot of paint as well, Vallejo good for mixing? I have 3 projects, 1 the board already knows, 1 is out of stock and the last one isn't really fitting but I'll storm on with it anyway!

Vallejo is great for mixing. each paint has a dropper to make measuring amounts easier

Gah, life has been WAY too busy for me to do anything hobby related in far too long. Between getting my wife's eldest daughter out of the foster care/group home system from 3 states away, helping far too many people to move to new residences and now myself moving, my hobby and stress relief has been pretty well shot to sh!t. I will likely be sitting this one out, though if things settle down in enough time I may enter something... It wont be a huge project my any means but it would at least be something different.

Great to have you on board Gearboxx Very nice to hear of your progress too. I haven't done much on mine this week, due to a couple of commissions and my missus being in charge of my social calendar. We got to see Wolverine though so that was cool. Hopefully I'll be able to crack on with it some more tonight.

managed to get the base coat on.. why did I sign up for overtime at work - I'm so tired!
am deciding my entry will be much more cool if I can put plan B into operation... tricky to achieve though.
shame we cannot discuss as I'm excited about this and cannot share my enthusiasm!

I got a late start. I just got the model yesterday and I've got a bit of conversion work before I can start painting

Do what I have, get a cardboard box, split it and use that. can cut it, spill glue and paint and no problems. although you might want to stack it or get a cheap chopping board for using modelling knives

We still have over a calendar month on this guys, no need to admit defeat so easily!
We also have ANOTHER prize on offer for the best 'sofa of questionable fuids'. This will be judged separately. So those of you that are pretty confident in your initial 'line breaker' entry can start work on that too! Entry date will be the same as the 'linebreaker' competition. Have fun!

So is the sofa of questionable fluids another prize or category? Bc I definitely have a sofa with questionable fluids on it...

I had been wondering about this..
I'm not sure I can make the sofa fit what I am planning.. however, I may be able to make a separate entry for the sofa.
many thanks to 3ff3ct for enabling this madness to become reality.

For clarification purposes THE SOFA OF QUESTIONABLE FLUIDS DOES NOT HAVE TO BE PART OF YOUR ENTRY, IT MAY BE ENTERED SEPARATELYAlthough if you wish to combine the two then that is fine

Don't titan princeps have to live in a tank full of questionable fluids?

Only in some Titan Legions, but can you imagine the thought *shivers*

True story. I think it's elaborated on in the Dan Abnett book, and the it's mostly Warlord class and higher.
