Hey everyone, I mentioned in my other Ultramarine Scout post about how I was gonna do Imperial fist as my next project, and to start I had to decide on wither to do a scout or tactical marine. I had to chose a scout for the moment due to a lack of plain tactical bits for the creation of a tac marine (although all the bits I did had would make for a nice blood angel tactical squad though ) So here is the start to the Imperial Fist Scout. The overall color scheme I'm gonna try mimicking is from the cover of the Chris Robertson Novel "Sons of Dorn" (nice read by the way) Uploaded with ImageShack.comOnly question I have at the moment is what color to make the make the basing and ruins. I was thinking a base of Blackfire earth with stone-marble colored ruins but I'm not sure how that will complement the color scheme of the scout himself... Updates to come soon Thanks for looking.

Ice world, like the planet Dorn was found on. (Correct me if I'm wrong?)

Thats a good idea.
I was thinking of trying to convey the feeling the Imperial Fists way of warfare.
Siege warfare were the scouts of Imperial Fists would be of a reconnaissance nature, specifically to locate weaknesses in the enemies siege defences. So I know I wanna make it gritty and I'm looking for some GW barb wire I thought I had. Thinking of putting on those "splinter cell" looking NVGs that come with the sniper squad set.
Thanks for the suggestion by the way.

Interesting, I am a huge fan of the Imperial Fists. I would do the base up in a granite and green marble to help him stand out that and green and yellow work well together. I look forward to seeing more

I think this has turned out really well good job. The Yellow is a little harsh for my own tastes but then I've never tried to paint Imperial Fists so not a connoisseur by any means!

I quite like the bright yellow. It's a good, clean paint-job.
