I'll fish mine out next week maybe, half term at the moment, and I'll end up playing 'robot wars' with Charlie with them instead of taking photos!  I like the belly gun and lifta-dropper (?) on the left stompa  |

I have been considering a series of stacking 'D' shaped sections, each slightly larger than the last so that they fir together like a Russian doll yet can be assembled upon one another so they form a Gargant hull. My plans were to make a wreck so that a lot of the floors, gantries and inner workings would be accessible, thus making a very 3D environment for playing on - featuring as much vertical movement and LOS as horizontal. This would mean I could store the beast while not in use rather than living with a Gargant in my living room. (which my boy would love - yet likely destroy within an hour of 'boombash' fun) (and I can't see my partner being to happy about the prospect either!). I think I will wait until I have bought a house before I start work on this project though... I'd need a sizable games room to use such a creation! I have previously made this ork look out tower / gargant construction thingy: (the photos of it don't do it justice as it had travelled several hundred miles in the back of a van and then was rudely shoved through a loft hatch that was smaller than it was... most of the good stuff like the scaffolding got crushed at that point and all the little details were shaken off - but you get the general idea!)  for scale, here's a WIP ... and you earn bonus points if you can spot the dreadnought hidden in the image:  as you can see in the WIP - more of it has flat surfaces rather than knackered bent and sloped surfaces! alas this no longer exists as I scrapped it earlier this year after it had sat in my dads loft for 5 years gathering dust (while I lived some 300 miles away). It was a lot of fun to play gorka morka on when we were using it, we added ladders, grappling hooks and rokkit packs to the kit you could buy, and deffkoptas instead of bikes... oh, and some fun rules about falling too. |
