Representing Carapace Armour on Commissar Lord

Okay, I'm using the following model as my Commissar Lord:

It's the Steel Legion Commissar from 3rd edition but here's the snag:

I've given my CL a Bolter for long range engagements and a Power Sword for CC but the model doesn't visibly wear any armor. Can the carapace armor be concealed under his robes or must I apply the WYSIWYG?

You should not have issues with fielding it as is so long as you are clear that it has carapace before you play.

depends who you play with. Just make sure your oponent knows it has carapace insted of flak and should be fine.

Yeah, I'd just say make it clear to your opponent that he's wearing carapace under the coat. In the Ciaphas Cain novels, Commissar Cain would routinely wear a set of carapace under his great coat, so just cite that if anyone gives you grief about it.
