Hey guys.
This is my Memento Mortis list, before I move onto another army of some type. Possibly tyranids.
They are Iron Hands successors. There are some units chosen for fluff, some to match the niche I fill with my guard army (so shooty)
I have a 1500 pt list to play, and we always play doubles. my group of friends are Eldar, Chaos SM, smurfs, and tau, so 50-50 MEQ with some strong Elite armies too.
Master of the Forge Auspex, boltgun, power axe
Attached to
Tactical squad 5 men, plasma gun, combi plasma, in a HB razorback
Then the rest:
Tactical squad 10 men, meltagun gun, veteran sgt, melts bombs, in a drop pod
Tactical squad 10 men, combat squadded, gravgun, heavy bolter
Scout squad 5 men, snipers, camp cloaks, and Multimelta LSS as on-board disembarked transport
Tech marine Storm bolter, 2x HB servitors
Dreadnought Lascannon & power fist
Dreadnought Lascannon & missile launcher
Stormtalon Sky hammer missiles
Predator Twin linked las, storm bolter
Thunderfire cannon
Whirlwind
I'm also modelling up a company captain, chaplain, librarian, and chapter master, but I don't intend to play them really, unless there's a real reason to.

I know it's fluffy, but the Power Axe on the Master of the Forge is literally useless, the way that Servo Arms work now. You'll either get to make 2 S5 AP2 I1 Attacks with the Axe or 3 S8 AP1 I1 Attacks with the Servo Arms, but not both. They screwed up horribly on the Servo Arm Rules I'd probably drop that and the Storm Bolter on the Predator, to pick up a Combi-Melta for the Podded Squad, and maybe a Combi-Grav to go along with the Grav Gun. Other than that, this looks pretty solid.

Yeah, you're right about the MotF. I did have to wonder why he even got the option competitively, but the model has it and it felt like a waste otherwise. I could save the 15 points for something else though and my group wouldn't mind, so that might be something I decide on the day.
I think you're right about the storm bolter, I was looking for a 5 point filler and a second weapon on the vehicle most likely to draw the big gun fire seemed like a decent shout even if all it does is attempt to soak up the weapon destroyed result. I will have to find something else to drop for the combi melts but you're right that would be a good place to put it, or a combi grav as that guy isn't modelled yet and that weapon looks dastardly against MEQ and tau suits.
Thanks for the ideas, something to mull over.

I favour a Combi-Melta for that Drop Squad, because those guys need to be able to do something significant when they first land, and adding a second Melta gives them much greater reliability for taking out a Vehicle on the drop.
