I asked Syphon to put up his work on here again because he has some great conversions and ideas and needed to show them, so well done Syphon Stop being a pillock and accept the fact the fact you have good work here! Granted, your painting could improve however, you're pretty much there! Slightly thin your paints and use washes a bit more and they'll be perfect!

I couldn't say it better, the only way to get better is practice.

Here's a Texas Ranger test piece I did. Not finished, as I keep having to touch up the pants or jacket, but here you go.

Righto you asked for me to give you some feedback so here it comes.... Looking good so far, however did you undercoat it? The chipped paint looks to me that you painted just onto the metal. Also, washes! *slaps Syphon* if you have used them, it doesn't appear like it. You need to apply a wash and then go back over everything leaving the recesses, and then apply some highlights. At the moment it looks like you've just painted in the block colours, it would be a shame to leave it like that although I am aware you said it was a test model So far it's good, just a tad more work on it

Pretty much what Cosmic said. I'd add that from this picture the flesh colour looks like it went on a little thin (flesh colours tend to be a pain like that) it might need another coat.

I have never seen a single Dr Who episode, so I doubt it.
That said, that mini was killed in action by varnish. I just undercoated him again.

a 20 minute soak in simple green concentrate and I mean; NO MORE THAN 20 MINUTES! Rinse under a running water and vola! New mini.

I love my crappy camera. Finn from Hasslefree, obviously WIP: Gave him a nice swanky green hoodie. He will also wear jeans shortly. A Texas Ranger from Copplestone Castings. I like this guy, even though it looks more like he should be in Dynasty than fighting crime. Or zombies. A vampire! I hate painting pallid flesh, so I just mixed up some light green with white. *shrug*

The green hoody is a great shade of green and very realistic actually! You're getting better every time, just need to work on some highlights now
