Hi All, First post to the boards I have recently come into the possession of a valkyrie which I have been looking forward to grabbing ever since I started a guard army but there is a catch. The cockpit windows are missing, do any of you know where I might get hold on one?

Your best bet would be bitz sites or eBay sellers... What country do you live in?

That's what I was thinking too (Monty?) but I'd recommend this site: Bitz BoxSlightly more expensive, but you get the armored frames for the canopies as well--in case those are missing too--once they get the parts back in stock.

The site I linked carries the frames too, but for £1.50 extra. They do have the advantage of being in stock, though. Reds

I think Bitz Box allows you to put in requests for re-stocking of items... And you can also set up to get an e-mail notification when they get them back in.

Hi chaps, thank you for your suggestions. Unforunately both sites are sold out of that particular part and the only entry in ebay is in America and is going to cost a tenner. I think I've been a bit shafted.

I think I've been a bit shafted. You're welcome. Definitely sign up for an e-mail from Bitz Box to inform you when it's back in stock. You may have to wait for a while, but they should get it back in at some point--unless your project build time is so urgent that you can't afford to wait... Also, I do believe there is a function on their site where you can submit a request for specific parts to be re-stocked. Poke around and see what you find.

Yes, Redcuffs makes an excellent point--the cockpit canopies are the last bits you should put on the Valkyrie, after you have finished painting everything else and applying any type of varnish. I'd also highly suggest using PVA glue to stick them on rather than superglue or plastic cement, as both can ruin the clear polystyrene (superglue fumes can "frost" it, plastic cement will melt it if you get some in the wrong spot).

Did you buy the kit new? I purchased a Valk from an online retailer here in the US. It arrived without the cockpit glass so I called GW customer service and they mailed me what was missing right away. I may complain about the prices once in a while but they do have great customer service, in the USofA anyway.
