Not sure if some of you know this game that was sucessfully funded via kickstarter , and even though i missed the pledge time, i still brought it anyway after one of my friends brought it over one evening... Its a survivors vs zombie minitures boardgame that relys on teamwork to overcome your mission... its very fun to play with your mates. i brought the first boxset (called season 1) in november and brought the two main expansion packs called toxic city mall and prison outbreak (season 2) over xmas as a nice present to myself (aswell as a new Nikon camera and an Xbox One hehe)... anyway... now some dont, but i really want to have a properly customised set... now to fully appreciate the amount of things ive decided to paint im gonna give you links of whats inside each set. season 1 boxset guillotinegames.com/en/zombicideseason 2 toxic city mall guillotinegames.com/en/toxic-city-mallseason 2 prison outbreak guillotinegames.com/en/prison-outbreaki have also brought the extra zombie packs, toxic crowd and angry zombies... aswell as the zombie dogs and hero dog companions... so now heres the actual numbers of the project. i have.. +left to do.... 16 survivors 13 completed 3 to go16 zombivors 6 dog companions 20 zombie dogs 70 standard walkers 3 completed 67 to go14 standard fattys 2 completed28 standard runners 2 standard abominations 30 toxic walkers 14 toxic runners 8 toxic fattys 1 completed 1 toxic abomination Finished!30 angry walkers 8 angry fattys 1 completed14 angry runners 1 beserker abomination Finished! for a total of 278 minis on my 'to do' list... wow... now ive added it up... seems like alot.. other people who have done this project have opted for the lazy quickshading technique... but thats just not me... each and every one will be hand painted to a good standard... im putting most effort into the survivors and zombivors and slightly less effort with the zombies... that said i better show you where im at right now... SEASON 1 Survivors JOSH the thug DOUG the Office guy Goth AMY WANDA the Waitress PHIL the Cop Crazy NED

Very cool, I did a similar thing with my zombie board game, 'Last night on earth', got the expansions and extra zombies and painted all up like the images on the cards. I notice some mold lines on a few of them, I suppose they're not guard worthy.

Id really like to get my hands on last night on earth next... or at least the survivor figures... one of the bezt bits of zombiecide are that guillotine games provide everything you need to customise and use customised rules in your games... they claim to give you the core rules... and encourage you to add your own bits...
im gonna post up and show pretty much eveything I paint on tbis project... as you can see.. the camera is fantastic. .. got ths nikon d3200 dslr... I canedit the pics directly off the camera screen without resizing and touching up colours on photoshop....

'last night on earth' is a hella fun game, especially if you altered the rules a bit, we use the walls as solid obstacles without windows, none of this stand against the wall and shoot out the windows; and we treat the doors as permanently open instead of a revolving door for sight purposes.

im well up for getting that... my lifes kinda zombie themed right now... all i do is kill zombies...
dead rising 3 day-z most nights thursday nights is zombicide night and walking dead back on saturday.... cant wait.
the nikon was really good value for money... i didnt need the more expensive ones, they only got a flip out display and they all had less meggapixels than the d3200 .... its way better than my (now broken) sony a200 that cost me £550 4 years ago... the D3200 was £350... bargain... plus i always wanted a Nikon..... now i really need a light tent and a tripod...

I've heard great things about this game from one of my gaming buddies, and I'll be following this thread with interest! Oh, and it also looks like you should get your hands on several pots of the new Blood for the Blood God technical paint--it's quite brilliant for doing blood effects!

I didn't want to get it because the box art didn't appeal to me at all. The models are not as bad as I had feared. Still, I got tons of Hasslefree ones, so I'm not getting these

Brilliant miniatures and paint work. I like Wanda the waitress the most, but her war-gear combo of classic roller-skates and chainsaw would just be a disaster in real life. Just out of interest do the roller-skates make her go faster in the game?

I didn't want to get it because the box art didn't appeal to me at all. The models are not as bad as I had feared. Still, I got tons of Hasslefree ones, so I'm not getting these im the total oppersite... i love the artwork!... the production value of the game is very high... everything is themed and has artwork on, the cards are very high quality as is the paperback rulebook... nothing i dont like about zombicide... some of the molds are a little iffy, but only cos the plastic is a bit naff...but then again, its designed to be played with not hobbied like 40k etc... otherwise id be in no doubt that guillotine games would make resin to satisfy customers. Brilliant miniatures and paint work. I like Wanda the waitress the most, but her war-gear combo of classic roller-skates and chainsaw would just be a disaster in real life. Just out of interest do the roller-skates make her go faster in the game? i like wanda too... shes a great charachter to use in game cos she is very fast and becomes very melee orientated... yeah her skates make her fast... unlike the other charachters she moves 2 zones per activation and later gets the choice of skills to become 'slippery' which means she can pass through zones filled with zombies without the need to combat them.. shes great for getting to that hard to reach objective. the wargear the model shows is purly just for the model... in game you get random weapons by searching rooms.. its pot luck... although we like to get the models weapons if we can just cos it seems like the done thing... i once had her in ultrared mode with the uber chainsaw 'betty' with 4 dog companions we nicknamed 'dog battalion' .. was fething ace.

Sounds really amazing. I suppose you could even add extra models in from other miniature ranges once you get bored of using the same pieces.

yeah they provide you with bare charahter cards if you fancy making your own ... which i really love... il pick up a few hasslefree figures when im at salute to use in zombicide... just to add variety..

Excellent. I'd photocopy the cards, just to keep the originals pristine.
Copplestone castings have some mad adventurer types and skateboarders that would be great add-ons too.

Cool stuff. My favorite is DEREK the Locator, he looks like Marty McFly from Back to the Future.

Wish I'd commented sooner, these are great! You've churned out some very consistent and amazing minis here. Will there be regular zombies to come?
