Well I have returned from my week away in the dreaded 'Leeds'. Obviously, due to my special southerner powers, I managed to survive! And I came back with 2 new commissions! How, I'm not sure....but woohoo!! The first is this beauty of an army.....Heresy Era World Eaters!! In the same style as the Salamanders, my client has asked that all Dreadnoughts have all weapon options magnetized. So, after being home for less than hour I got cracking! I had forgotten how much of a pain it was to drill out these holes without breaking through the thin rings. To get an idea of what this project will involve, here is a preliminary list I've been given of the models in this army... 1 Commander 30 Marines 2 Contemptor Dreadnoughts 1 Sicarian Battle Tank 1 Caestus Assault Ram Looking forward to this one! Well then I want to see these ideas and paintedness! (Yes that's a word ) The one thing I'm looking forward to most is the sicarian tank, I want to see how much detail I can change onto it, some grab handles and lights etc

An interesting project. What level of blood/ gore-splattering does the client want on the pristine white and blue armour of the Eaters?

I'm not sure yet, slightly less than I did on Angron, but I'm sticking with the same blood mix :-) and dirtiness level will be about the same as the sallies.

Evening all! A new year means a new Cosmic, one where I work harder and paint more. And that also means that I'll be frequenting this place again with goodies! Enough chit chat though, on with the models! Last time all I showed you was the drilling out and magnetising of the Dreadnought, son here's a long lost of photos showing everything I've done since.....are you ready?.... Dreadnought weapon options. I replaced the resin rods of the assault cannon with brass to give it a better scale and overall improve the look. All the infantry have been built and every Marine has been magnetised to allow the Jump Packs and Backpacks to be interchanged depending on what my customer wants to field. The tracks on the Spartan have been replaced with Plastic indi-link Elefant Tracks, to give it that extra touch of realism as I absolutely hate the FW tracks. And as you can see, the beast got a little hungry Started some of the painting, going for a very gritty white, as well as using the amazing FW Transfers. They look a little bland at the moment but they are obviously still WIP. My friends at the Doom of Sevarus Prime project also helped me put together a little tutorial video on painting the World Eaters, so here's that too.. Righto, that's all I can do at the moment, this is hard posting all of this from an iPad! Happy to answer any and all questions though. It's good to be back Cosmic

I love the look of the Contemptor dread auto cannon, but I wouldn't field one myself. my World Eater dread will have two claws I think.
I love the cookie monster Spartan as well, you need to leave it like that

Yeah I know what you mean, although my customer has at least one of each most of the Dread weapons and they're all magnetised so he can switch them out to what he wants. And I think I have actually done two claws for him.

Afternoon everyone! Here to give you an update on the World Eaters, in particular, the Spartan. I'm so happy with how this is turning out, the replacement tracks just make it so much more interesting! Tracks were sprayed black, followed by various washes and pigments and finally a rub on the raised areas with a stick of graphite. Do you like?

Update time! And it's a bloody one... Finished the Cataphractii Terminators, and they've been through a tide of enemies as you can clearly see! About 15 hours work into these guys, and there's still a few tweaks left to do bu they'll be done when the rest of the army is almost done. Cosmic
