Thank's Trooper I haven't built it yet, that was only dry fitted for the pictures. Hopefully this weekend I'll hit it hard and get it to a point where I can actually glue some bits together. I still haven't built my cannon yet, as I still cannot decide what to do Do I go for Range or Melty?! Major Downer

I'd do the rapid fire battle cannon first.

I'd do the rapid fire battle cannon first. I am warming to it all though I hate the end of it so, I'll have to customize it Major Downer

I was thinking it'd look cool with a muzzle brake of some sort, and possibly with a beefed-up ammo hopper.
I did just apply the initial Boltgun Metal spray to my Knight's chassis.

Imma head back down to the Super Basement TM to apply the next spray o' Boltgun Metal to the bits of the chassis I didn't reach with the first spray.

Ah I feel the pain, I had the same problem when Base coating and trying to dry brush all the nooks and crannies! :/

Ah I feel the pain, I had the same problem when Base coating and trying to dry brush all the nooks and crannies! :/ Major Downer Not really pain, as I have an old, old can of Boltgun Metal spray, more just having to flip parts over/turn them around to get the coating down... Which I just did. And for some reason, when I descended into the Super Basement TM, the lingering smell of the first spray coat smelled like champagne. I figure in about an hour or so the chassis will be ready for Nuln Oilpocalypse...

I've never heard anyone describe linger smell from a spray can as Champagine My spray made my mouth dry :/

The old GW sprays were full of classiness it seems.

Great work so far, Major Downer.
Personally I'd go for a melta cannon. Looking at that GW video that showed a glimpse of the codex, it seems super heavy walkers can move 12" and still fire. Melta cannon might be good for taking some hull points off an enemy Knight before closing in for the chainsword kill. Just a thought, plus its a melta blast marker, which is very useful. Still it would be handy to know the stats of the weapons before choosing..

Thanks Chem In the end I went with the battle cannon and I put the muzzle on the end from a LRBT which makes it look a lot better! I hopefully should have time this weekend to get some more work done on it and update this Thread with more Pictures Major Downer

Looking good so far, loving the weathering you've done. It is an amazing kit. I agree with you that the battle cannon was a little plain in comparison with the rest of the model. Looking forward to seeing what you came up with.

That's a great paintjob! It really goes well with your army too. I love the weathering on the gunshield and all the other little details.
