Greetings! I have decided to branch out from my usual forum haunts, and this includes making an account here. Not much going on for me on the Imperial Guard front for the moment (my IG stuff is mostly in need of paint stripping and refurbishing). So for now I will show you my WIP Lord Commissar. The other day I decided to glue him together (he had been sitting in pieces in my bitz box for several months) and found to my consternation that I had misplaced his bolt pistol arm. After some digging around in my various bitz boxes, I settled on giving him an upgrade, in the form of a bionic from the Forgeworld Space Marine Character Accessory Kit. I had to trim down the shoulder a bit, but once I did, the army slotted into the spot perfectly. Due to it being an astartes Bionic arm, regular guard issue pistols just seemed too small in comparison to the hand, so I settled for giving him an Archaic looking Plasma pistol from the same set as the bionic arm. I am really actually kind of glad I misplaced the bolt pistol arm- this upgrade makes him look more unique and really changes the entire feel of the models pose. He will probably get painted when I finish painting my current painting project- a large quantity of Alpha Legion Cultists. As to my imperial guard regiment, they have gone through a lot of paint schemes and fluff drafts over the years, but I think I will end up settling on theming them after WW2 Americans- Green fatigues & armour, Invasion Stripes for markings, lots of grenade launchers & missile launchers, etc.

Sure can do! Am still tinkering around with trying to figure out how to take good pictures with my camera phone, but here is a pic of the first 15 cultists- there are 25 more waiting to be finished. I am taking a bit of a break from painting tonight, because after last nights marathon painting session I woke up with a pain in my shoulder that has yet to go away, so am taking it easy for a bit.
