I also working on some 28mm scale zombies and survivors. To assist in making it extracool I am looking for some 28mm scale modern buildings. Do you valiant hobbyists have any experience with a company that produces these things? I would appreciate the assist. After all, I could buy something willy-nilly, but I'd prefer to hear from you guys first. Thanks!

The survivors are indeed from Wargames Factory. I've got one set of females at home, and a set of male survivors is at the customs office as we speak, as well as a box of their zombies. Furthermore I'm using Hasslefree's Studio Zombies as well as some of their pewter models. If you want I can put up pictures I've taken in a thread.
Also, thanks for the link. Sucks that they aren't prepainted, though.

Sounds good, I'd like to see how you paint them. I like the fact that some models look European or Asian and others African; it makes a good mix of civilians, from rough street wear to suits and dark glasses 'agent' types. I also managed to get the overweight lady to hold a SA80 instead of the RPG, it just takes a little work with your scalpel. Here, in the middle: If you just want basic buildings, like high rise apartment towers, you could save a whole ton of money and make them yourself. There are quite a few on the market but cost seems very prohibitive. I'm sure that you can make useable tower blocks out of sheets of thick cardboard. All you'd need to do would be to outline the building faces, windows and doors, cut them out, stick them together (even with tape) and then paint them with those sandy, rough textured paints. If you want each floor to be detailed you could even make each building in 2 parts so that you can lift half of it off and put models inside. Although you'd need to be much more careful on the planning. You could even mock it all up in paper first as a trial run.
