Hi. After years away from the hobby, I've recently come over some ideas that have rekindled my zeal for the Emperor. Warlord games have some amazing offers at their website, 30 russian ww2 infantrymen for almost the same price as for 10 guardsmen. I think the soviets, but also the other ww2 models would fit nicely in an imperial guard army. Perry Miniatures, which I have used for my whfb empire army, also have a range of confederate infantrymen. I think these would be Nice as conscrips.
Does anyone have any experience with alternate models?

I recently made purchases from a company called Dream Forge. I purchased their Eisenkern infantry line. Quality is amazing and very reasonably priced for the quality you get. I have also made purchases from Anvil Industries, again very good quality miniatures for the prices. I mainly use Anvil for their weapon swaps. Very wide variety of weapon choices. I would highly recommend both companies.

I found out that the Eisenkern stormtoopers from DreamForge games are an awesome way to go if you want to come up with some alternate AM/IG troopers and they look way cool with Scion bits too. Take a look at these photos.
