I am working over my models and having a hard time finding a good paint theme to make them better. I want to go for a amphibious tropical beach style. I am also taking inspiration from my time in the U.S. Marines and how none of our vehicles ever had matching body panels or armor plating. It was always a mix of tan and green. Any ideas?

I am waiting to add that worn look until i an figure out the camo. I have all the supplies for it but want to finish everything else before i put them on. I am also looking for guardsman sized surf boards to attach to vehicles. Any ideas where to find those?

"Astra Militarum don't surf!" The only idea I have on that would be to get some sheet styrene, and then trim it to shape to make surfboards.

Well, right now it looks like gold. And with the lion panels, you don't want to be mistaken for Lannisters. Seriously, if you want something amphibious, consider the patchy camo the USMC used in WWII. Or experiment with a mix of brown, blue and grey.

Totally not related to the topic of this thread, but I just saw this, and I think that you need it Howscat.
