Hay there everyone. I need to know if anyone knows of any cheap products I can buy from the local hardwear store to do Mudd baseing effects in bulk. Normally I would just green stuff the bases for my necrons which is fine but right now I'm working on a baseing for a custom built building and I need to apply a bulk Mudd effect for the buildings base. I was thinking that caulking might work but I'm not sure how it would effect the foam core board I used to make the buildings. Any suggestions for cheap mud effects would be very appreciated.

Spackle/filler from a hardware/DIY store might work for bulk mud effects. Spread it onto your bases, let it dry thoroughly, then paint it with whatever brown paint you like, and then (if you want it to look like it's really wet and gloopy) apply several layers of brush-on high gloss varnish over it.

I usually mix up some talcum powder, brown paint and P.V.A. glue and then slap it on but have never done a large area.
