So has anyone else picked this up? I think most of the Dragon Age fans on the IGMB have left us, but on the off chances some are still lurking, I'm curious as to your opinions. I'm enjoying it myself, but it's certainly not what I was expecting, and I think it conceded a little too much on PC to be compatible with consoles.

I haven't got round to it yet, only just picked up the DLC for DA:O but from the bugs I've heard it's a bit iffy.

It's a major EA release, of course there are bugs. Aside from the occasional crash I've encountered nothing I can't fix by saving and reloading from the main menu. The scope of the game is enormous, and although there's the occasional cut-scene or animation that's a bit awkward, but on the whole it's a much, much improved game from DA 2. Good writing (not quite as good as DA:O, but still), fun combat, epic dragon fights, etc. It's worth picking up on sale, at the very least.

oh I forgot, I got it in the christmas sale, seen quite few bugs that have cuased some problems but a very nice game even so. Bugs I've ran in to: looped conversations, Trees swaying like mad, quests not tiggering. All of it I've been able to work around so quite fun

I've played through it. It's fun, if a bit easy after obsessively gathering all the best things, and leveling up beyond the recommended levels for places.

Oh I did dislike the war table, annoyed me having huge amounts of power but waiting 20 hours for some of the "missions" to finish ~_~

Being able to throw power at things to make them go faster would be nice.

Yeah it would that and to get perks quicker. To be fair though I tend to only play before for an hour before I go to bed so most are done by the time I turn it back on.

I was a bit annoyed at the level 20 inquisition cap (heads up btw) I tended to spend all my gold in one of the stores for power and inquisition levels. Far more buyable then you can level up :/

It caps at level 20? That's nuts.

I've just downloaded it and to be brutally honest it don't seem that good, I've only done the opening sequence and had to rush off. I really want to give it a good play when my kids out of hospital

Get through the opening bit and get out of the Hinterlands around Redcliff as soon as you can.

It caps at level 20? That's nuts. Yeah I know, with the amount of xp I got and you can buy would of thought it'd be un-capped! Gotta hope they patch it or DLC expansions add new perks and raise the level. I've just downloaded it and to be brutally honest it don't seem that good, I've only done the opening sequence and had to rush off. I really want to give it a good play when my kids out of hospital It is a fun game, think it's over hyped with all the awards it's got so early but it's a decent story with great characters.

The head writer has left the Dragon Age projects on to another Bioware project...not sure what impact that will have :/

The trilogy is 'done', aside from DLC, isn't it? I don't think it'll have too much of an impact either way.

no the trilogy may be done but there is defo another game in the works. one the storylines are left so wide open and not concluded and 2 its to much of a financial success for EA to stop making the games at this point.

I mean for the moment, so they're shifting people.
I am worried about the "Blood from Turnips" plan that EA seems to be so fond of. Mass Effect is getting the same treatment, and I'm they'll flog the franchise in to the ground. Inquisition was good enough to make up for II and end most of the plotlines it started. Call it square and move on.

Yeah but I want to see the war of the Fred wolf and see the grey wardens return as the saviours. I want to see the golden city restored and the last of the arch demons defeated. Plenty of legs left in the franchise pro ided a) its well written and b) they put proper production time in. At least two more games i can see.

They still have DLC to make for it and there's a lot of area for it to grow. They also made it rather obvious they plan to make more Dragon Age games with the keep system (although I'd rather have it accessed in game not on a website)
