This was a little commission I did for Syphon, a small squad of the metal Gaunts Ghosts Characters. I really liked this commission, I loved doing the forest bases and using a lot of the materials I had bought and had stored for years but never used.

They look great, especially OSL effect on the plasma gunner! I like also how the sniper one is "hiding" on his base. Really good job. Can we see some close ups?

I second what Batou said.
Also dammit Cosmic! I'm finally getting round to finishing my Dorden model, now I will have to work harder on it.

I wasn't one for the OSL but Syphon wanted it so had to do it proud how it came out though. I shall see if I can get some more pictures when I get home later in the week. I second what Batou said. Also dammit Cosmic! I'm finally getting round to finishing my Dorden model, now I will have to work harder on it. I'm assuming Dorden is one of the characters? I'm not familiar with anything to do with Gaunt or the Tanith!

The medic. Right now the skin I've painted is looking promising but between the two of us there is no comparison on painting human flesh. I was also thinking of staining the white apron with GW blood effect, then drybrushing white over it again before adding some more recent stains. Do you think that will work?

If you look closely on this Dorden I have done some faint blood splatters too, which was a mixture of Red and Black Ink with Water Effects, just very lightly splattered it on by rubbing the tip of old brush with my thumb, you instantly get various faint and solid splatters of blood so thats one way of doing it. However, your method should work too, as long as you use a really dry brush. Might make it look like the blood has soaked into the very fibres of the material so yeah, give it a go!

The plasma gun OSL looks awesome, I also really like the camo scheme on the cloaks, well done!

The plasma lighting is awesome. For a moment I thought you'd deliberately introduced a lens flare to your picture. The lasgunners are among my favorite minis, and you've done a great job on them too. Corbec especially looks good, with the highlighting and camo.

I enjoyed doing the camo, it was a really quick technique but turned out looking quite nice in the end. I agree, these are beautiful minis, well done! Cheers, Digits The plasma lighting is awesome. fantastic paint work as usual dude, the bases really finish the models and give a great sense of moving through dense woodland.
wish the pictures were larger and sharper... do you find Imgur removes the clarity of the images on the web or do you just save pics at a lower resolution?
