I'm an IG player, but I have a Vostroyan army. Keeping the vostroyan theme in mind I've decided to figure out some ways to make my Leman Russes' turrets "aged".
The 1st idea I had; use an empire great cannon as a LRBT turret.
Now, I'm trying to figure out if I can make an Empire Helblaster Volley Gun and use that as the Punisher turret.
I don't want to simply mount the Volley Gun onto the LR turret as they just looks a little silly, and I want it to looks nice.
Any ideas?

I think it might look a little silly.

The only way I can think of to make it look not look incredibly silly is to build a custom turret for it.

Isn't the Punisher cannon already an antique in looks?

I think the real trick in getting the right effect will not be so much in the build but in the paint job.

I immediately thought of the Soveit KV II

the standard gun actually ressembles the ancient gatling gun quite a bit. however, to make it fit more with the older style gatling gun i would recoomend cutting off the original gun, and replace it with some thin plasticard tubing bundled together. use thin slices of a larger tube to hold it all together so it looks like something like this: and here's a picture of how did it on my dreadknight. to get an even more antique look you might want to use even thinner tubes (also resembles the smaller calibre rounds better)
