405th Mechanized Recon

Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking here in a dnb fueled stupor for awhile and after gathering an extensive bitz box from various sites including Pig Iron, Anvil, Heresy Miniatures, Max Mini & eBay I'm hoping to make something original and different in the process. 

Here are a few ideas I've been thinking about:

- Hanar Psychic (inspired by the ME games)
- Ground Combat Drones and Mechs in infantry squads
- Remote controlled demolition vehicles
- Astarte Commander (Col. Straken proxy)

In terms of fluff / rules this will be a heavy mechanized regiment with lots of gadgets and equipment, I've deliberately chose not to delve too deeply into the fluff as I feel it all gets a bit cheesy after a while...

The 405th is a heavy recon / mechanized regiment embedded to the 2nd Special Forces Group, currently deployed in the equatorial jungles of Mombasa 3 in response to a rebel insurgency.

The Commissar's still WIP and I'm not sure I'm too fond of their looks, may convert some infantry to reflect a more modern interpretation



Cyclops Demolition Vehicle, hopefully add some squad markings to this bad boy later on

hey dude, good to see you posting again... and with a cool looking army...

seems the drum and bass has improved your painting skills too... so keep turning that bass right up.

Cheers Ashot!! It's such a shame nowadays most DJs are turning to Dubstep b/c it's more mainstream and commercialized, but there are so many great dnb artists! I'll PM you a few.

@chem: It's the Chovar Psychic from Manticgames, I figured the Catachan would field indigenous auxiliary units as specialists... Besides it's a great way to branch out and try new color schemes...
