Wow; that looks great, Dougeye. Good line of Ultramarines and knights.
Gold trim is 2nd company isn't it?

Yep its second company wit sicarius (not yet painted) joined by calgar and 1st company termites. I'm naming the whole force as a battle group because although its around a company's worth of marines its not strictly 2nd company. Also I like classic red weapons on ultras so I say its because its the livery for a specific campaign the smurfs have joined, obviously with knight allies, may even add my grey knights into the combined battle group as well. When all of that is painted I'll continue with the orks and black legion so they have someone to fight

Sweet jeebus, that is impressive! Mad props, especially on your choice of using old school red on the Ultramarine's weapons.

Sunday Question....? The predator and landraider in the pic below have had exactly the same processes done to them except the predator which was painted first has had a final glaze applied. Do you think I should continue to glaze my tanks or leave them as the landraider is in this picture? ? Not the best quality light in the picture but you get the idea.

I'd do the glaze

I would glaze to keep consistency across the army.
Can you show more pics of the thunderhawk and various Knights please!

soon ^^^ want to get more complete first. t Hawk just wants Ultra symbols put on + have not painted / put scenery on the base yet. knights need a few transfers put on and blended in otherwise they are complete. all infantry shoulders need symbols etc, im just wainting then going to have a full day putting transfers on which may become tedious lol, (I cant do it all freehand)

you have a similar approach to marines as me, do a company at a time!
I still need to do all the transfers on my templars.. I bought the micro sol and its twin product (micro set?) especially for the project - just haven't got round to it!

just a quick update to those asking for more pics, I have had carpet fitters in this week so all my models including those on the shelf pictured above had to be packed and put in the loft. will be getting them out again soon as I can. but what should I paint next......
caestus assault ram (one of them)
sicarion venator
attack bike squadron
finish sternguard and vanguard squads
or paint more tanks including several rhinos, a stalker or two more landraiders, or predator infernus.
also got a couple of infantry marine squads to do but painted lots of infantry recently lol

Ok so ignored everything I set out above and decided that as I had an empty paint bench I would start applying U symbol transfers to my marines....... it may be a long day. in other news ive been building aircraft...... p.s those are just the marines ive painted

By the power of Ultramar! Don't forget to stencil large U's on your cheeks, forearms and knees before you begin, to bring your troops the luck of Macragge.
