I got my hands on an Imperial Knight (after promising my self that I'd never get one). It is a sweet model and I can't wait to get it painted up. Here is the assembled model and a shot of the paint job start. The weapons are fairly easy to magnetize if you do the gun before you put it all together. Also, I haven't glued the final face on yet. Will do that when I get the under lying stuff painted first. P1020570 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr P1020572 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr P1020573 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr

Latest update on the paint job for my Imperial Knight. The metal work is almost done and I added some warning striping to the hatch and end of the chainsword. Next up I hope to get the contrast color on all the panels and shoulder pads P1020577 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr P1020576 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr

Nicely coming along, the caution lines on the chain sword looks uneven, may I suggest using carefully cut masking tape to solve that problem. I'd also would drill the heavy stubbers, it will look much better.

Thanks for the input. I have more work to do with black lines and plan on tightening up the lines then. I will give drilling the stubbers a try

Not much progress until recently (kids and grandkids visiting) but now that things are quieter I have time to paint again. Here is the latest step in my progress of painting my Imperial Knight. I haven't seen the stripe pattern on a Knight yet, if you have please let me know.
A lot of work still to be done and the white is washed out a bit by the flash. Next progress photos will have better lighting.
What do you guys think of this?

I like the cow hide pattern, certain areas need some shading and highlight(red parts). fields(knee) and caution lines could be more precise, try using a xacto knife and lightly go down the intended line, it will act as a moat when painting.
