Glued something together that I now regret. Is there any good solvent do eat the glue up without hurting the plastic of the kit? Anything good for dissolving bad glue mistakes?

Was it plastic glue or super glue?
Super glue can sometimes be loosened with a soak in Simple Green, or if you're feeling adventurous you could try breaking the pieces apart by hand. If it's plastic glue, you're probably hosed unless you can use a sharp X-acto blade to cut along the seam of the two pieces.
What are the parts in question?

It's zap-a-gap. Its some accessories on a salamander I'm converting. If it's one of the CA (CYANOACRYLATE) glues then its pretty much the same as Super Glue so as Troopers said it be loosened with a soak in Simple Green.

I do see Cyanoacrylate in the ingredients. :oI'll be swabbing it with a simple green'd Q-tip and seeing if'n'she wants to come off. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Zap-a-Gap is super glue. Swabbing with a Q-tip and Simple Green won't do it, you will need to soak the model in it. If it's a bigger piece (something not delicate) you may just be able to pop it off with your fingers.

Soak it, okay. That'll give me a chance to magnetize it from more intelligent interior angles. It's getting soaked!
