Hello all, I'm working on painting up some thunder wolves, and I need some help with painting the leather saddles. My plan is to paint them brown, however I'm not sure what colours to use, and I cannot find a good tutorial. I've seen some things with a light base, two different washes and then a darker highlight and that seems interesting to me, but I'm not sure how well it would work. Any help would be appreciated!

Gamma, There are many ways to paint leather. My method (using Citadel paints) is: -Paint a basecoat over white primer of rhinox hide -Apply a wash or ink (I often just use watered down black paint) -Paint a first highlight layer to raised surfaces of mournfang brown -Paint a second highlight layer to even more raised surfaces of a mournfang brown and Ushabti Bone (roughly a 3:1 ratio) You can look at my Tallarn squad's boots or the sergeant's holster to see the effect: Good luck!

That looks great awesome tallarn, exactly what I was looking for. I'll post some pictures up of the models when I get them all painted!
