Finally I've finished my long work... My 2000 and little more points of Highlandres...
Command squad, with Major Higgins with Power Fist (sometimes I run him as General Odon), Bagpipers are my Vox operator (Bagpipe works better than a radio on the field), and an Officer of the Fleet. A single Melta gun completes my first HQ choice.
Second HQ choice, my little commissars, one will go in the Conscripts and the other one lead the Blob (When I blob them) of Infantry, otherwise he will be attached to the command squad. My converted Aegis Line and AAA gun
Platoon Command Squad with a missile luncher and Vox Caster, plain and simple.
Three riflemen squad, usually I run them in a Blob, all Sergeants have Melta Bomb, three Granade Lunchers and Three lascannons. Curiosly they have the same number of men that a British platoon had during WW2 (Heavy Weapon set aside), nice...
First veteran squad, armed with shotgun and three Melta Gun (Optional Heavy Flamer is beside them) and they run in a Storm Chimera. I see them as hardened veterans running in armored transport such as a Kangaroo, or a Buffalo (in the end Chimera is amphibious isn't it?)
Exactly the same as above
Counterattack veterans with Missile luncher and two plasma gun. My friends usually play lots of drop pods, or other AIP units, so they're here to protect a flank or my rear with lot of firepower. They usually die like rats, but more often then not they bring lot of marines with them...
My Cannon folder troop, 30 Conscripts lead by a commissar. They're my rookie, my expendables body, and my human shields... Lot of fun when they drop 90 shot, with the right order, in face of 5 terminators killing two or three (I know Math is against them, but the Gods of Dice seem to likes them and they score an unusual high average when shoot)
Here we start to speak seriously: My ten Royal Engineers with their Hades Breaching Drill (Converted heavily) with an Heavy Flamer and a Melta Gun. Love them with the old rules, now they're even better.
Vendetta with WW2 Hurricane Camo
And inside... Six Royal Marines Commandos (Special weapon squad) with a demo charge and 2 Flamers (One of my friends run loooooots of Tyr)
Scout Sentinels Platoon, with AC
Hellhound/Banewolf
Converted Medusa Siege Cannon GMC
Leman Russ with enough interchangeable gun to make a Conqueror, an Exterminator, and an Eradicator
During WW2 British excelled in Artilley, Wyvern are excelent...
Same hull, different gun, an auto-builded Hydra.
I'm waiting the delivery of my lat two pieces, two Universal carriers from Bolt Action which I plan to use as a couple of Tauroxes. All in all I tried to mantain the Flavor of WW2 on all my army, and I hope that I succeded in this. I really love 51st Highland Division, and I play with them in every occasion I can. I hope that you enjoy my work, I'm excited and I can't wait to run them as a complete finished army. I'm eager to read your comments. Thanks in anticipation.
