Steel Legion colour schemes help

Hi everyone,

I've been out of the hobby (Well not out, just not doing 40k) and I've just got a load of steel legion (12 squads, plus 22 Hev weps, 2 Russ, plus bits )

I'm just wondering how I should paint them, can't find many pics but the original scheme, and I'm not keen on it.

I did do some like WW2 Germans before but I want something different?

Any ideas and/or pics?

It would help if you had a specific theme to narrow down a few colour schemes. (urban, ash waste etc.)

My Steel Legion army is pretty close to the studio colour scheme so that's probably not much help to you. I had a look in the old Armageddon codex and it only had a couple of alternate schemes.



I hope you come up with a scheme soon as I'd love to see another Steel Legion army out there.

Well, I also have that dex and the more I looked... The more I fell in love with the Steel legion background, so, I'm thinking of doing the origanl GW Scheme.

I just picked up the second half of the army from GW. Must say, GW did a fab job with its customer care. Originally, my little steel legion army, the paint all flaked off... Twice!!

Long story short, I'm going to have to strip the models but they have replaced every last model. So I now have twice the number of guard!!!!!!!
