It's been a while since I posted anything and even longer since I last pasted anything, I've even sold off a large portion of what I had. I've been looking for the right thing for sometime and with my local GW running a narrative campaign I saw that as a way to motivate me. I wanted to do something different though, so I'm rebuilding my guard not as a guard force or even a PDF. I'm building a Rogue Trader army using the IG codex to play games. I will write the background as I go but enough talk. Rogue Trader (Company Commander) Regimental Advisors All Characters will be named so suggestions are appreciated.

Interesting conversions. That coat is from the new stormie kit? You might be able to use the new Imperial Agents book, too. I'm unsure what wargear Inquisitors have access to ..

Cool idea! A rogue trader army is bound to end up looking interesting. Interesting conversions. That coat is from the new stormie kit? You might be able to use the new Imperial Agents book, too. I'm unsure what wargear Inquisitors have access to .. I was just going to suggest something similar, Imperial agents might allow for some exotic editions to the army. Looking forward to seeeing this project develop.

I thought the same about using the Imperial Agents book, but having read through it I'm not so sure. I will be adding some Xenos and exotic looking weapons but all will be counts as from the Guard codex.
Next up is converting the slaughter priest to use as Nork.

Why not Guard allied with Inquisition? I'm doing something similar by running my Rogue Trader as a Counts-As Ordo Xenos inquisitor. They get access to some interesting wargear the Guard doesn't, making them a little... quirkier. Just have the Company Commander be the Archmilitant.

Honestly? I don't like the Inquisition codex.

That might change as I get to things I want to do but can't.

Very cool idea and so far very well executed. Glad to see Im not the only one who plays both guard and empire (apparently I never got the memo about it being a fantasy setting).

I get very distinct ideas of how I want a figure to look I then spend weeks finding the bits I need to make it happen, or butcher other kits to achieve the same thing.

I know the feeling, I do that for just about any character and his retinue.

I'm going to be doing it for most of the army not just the main characters

My local GW will be running a narrative campaign later this month, below is my 750 point list for it.

Beware of posting points costs for individual wargear or bare bones units! Lest GW smite us!
I feel like there needs to be more in the way of transports. Maybe drop the Scions? They're a bit redundant with the vet squads at such low points. I'd also recommend swapping the Sgts for Vet squad 2 and 3. The meltaguns, at least, are assault weapons, so there may be more use for a power weapon in that squad.
The command squad also seems awfully expensive, taking up almost a quarter of your points for a footslogging squad with almost no wargear to speak of. I get you're after an RT's retinue there, but maybe he shouldn't bring the WHOLE gang with him for such a minor dust-up at 750pts. I'd suggest dropping Nork and putting in a heavy weapon or sniper rifles, or dropping the advisors and giving the vets flamers or meltaguns or something.
