Hi guys.
I have a GW Leman Russ hull without turret and I’m thinking about the RYZA Pattern Executioner turret from Forge World on it.
I read on an old thread here that the FW Ryza turret could fit on the old GW Leman Russ hull, but I have the new Russ.
Do you think it can be done easily, without too much cutting and modeling?

I thought they updated the turrets to fit in the new hulls? When you buy a 'complete' Ryza or Mars Alpha tank they include a regular Leman Russ kit for parts, it'd be strange if they kept the old turret mounting for it.
Not a 100% sure as all my Russes are regular GW ones.
Different story with ebay or the different forgery worlds out there though.
It would be fairly easy to adapt an old turret to a new hull though. You could use a fretsaw or other fine saw to cut the old connector of the turret, and create a new connector by glueing a short piece of tubing (styrene, pvc, etc.) In place. As long as it's approximately the right diameter and about a cm long it'll stay in place nicely.

or buy the bottom piece of a new plastic turret and glue it, or just the connector, to the underside of the resin turret.

They have Updated the Turrest so the bottom will be smaller and it comes with a larger cup to fit the old syle Russ.
I managed to get my hands on the very old version on the Exterminator turret, from Forge world. It took me 30 minutes to file that beast down, to fit the new style russ.
Be warned, a lot of shavings.
