"Come on FW, pull your fingers out!!"
*David Attenborough Voice* Forge World have been Sand bagging for so long now, they can fit all four fingers into their hole.
The Chimera was an Ebay Job but I had a good look at it, to see how it was done. Just a matter of cutting a middle section and greensuffing the front and the end togeather.
I need to take pictures of the board as I've done a lot of work to it, to kill the bordem.

Come on FW, pull your fingers out!! Great looking Chimera (and board tile!) was it difficult to put the gun on the back like that? I think I prefer it like that! Just arrived! The UPS guy said " I'm surprised because you don't look like those Dweebs at Games Workshop" Ugh... Thanks?

You should have said "Well, that makes one of us' while signing for it then shut the door in his face.

The UPS guy said " I'm surprised because you don't look like those Dweebs at Games Workshop" Ugh... Thanks? I actually cracked up reading that!! I wonder what a dweeb actually looks like? Though during my hobby life I’ve definitely smelt them! Take it as the compliment it was. Will the beast be hitting the modelling table soon?

That was my first thought, if a dweeb looks really cool I'll be pretty annoyed with myself. Why did he say Dweeb, we're not American teenagers?
The beast is on the table, I have just completed the tracks and starting on the sponsons & side panels.

Making good progress then!
What are you going to do with the Plasma Cannon? Glowing or metallic coils?

Making good progress then! What are you going to do with the Plasma Cannon? Glowing or metallic coils? The only other Vostroyan Stormblade I've seen has the metallic coils, which is what I'm edging towards, only because I'm utter tripe at Plasma Glow. I'll do some home work on Plasma Glow but at the minute it'll be coils.

I think that's probably the way I would've gone. Sometimes the glowing blue or green looks a little cartoony.

The plasma glow looks good on plasma Guns but on the larger cannons, I could see any that looked good. So I'll go with the burn't coil look. I have to say, this tank was a pain in the rear to build. The Rear engine section didn't remotely fit correctly, so I had to do some modifiations and Green stuff to get it to fit correctly and look normal. Below pictures I've just finished the build, now deciding the finishing touches. This is my current status so far, this will take me some time to paint but I'm looking forward to it.

Looking good so far! You wouldn’t have known you had problems with the rear block. Was the tank commander from a heavy weapons team or something? He seems to fit in seemlessly.

There was a good amount of Green Stuff used so I’m glad you can’t tell too bad. This is a Lascannon gunner from the Heavy Weapons team, only way to have a heavy stubber. I order resin ones because they’re easier to file down. I’m nearly done with the basic pant work, I’ll update before I go on holiday this weekend.

I'm back from my holiday and here is a little look at the latest stage for the StromBlade. I need to add weathering details next and then I'll add some proper pictures. I also got my hands on an Orginal ForgeWorld BaneBlade, however it needs stripping. I will be using BioStrip 20 as I've seen many good reviews for it. More to come.

Looking good!
How does the classic Baneblade compare in size?

Looking good! How does the classic Baneblade compare in size? Thanks Jud, took me about an hour and a half to put a wash over every rivet and boy, was it boring! It's ever so slightly smaller than the GW Kit and a lot more heavier than the GW kit too, along with less detailing. Still nice to look at (As I have done all day in the office) The tank wheels and tracks are base Coated only but the made body needs stripping back.

Well, it was worth the extra effort!
I bet it is heavier, my old Macharius tanks weighed a tonne!
So with less detail does it look more like a modern tank?
How many Superheavies does that take the tally to? I think I’ve counted 5.

I hope to have my BioStrip 20 this week so I can make a start on the strip. I have the following: Bane Blade x1 Shadow Sword x1 Storm Blade x1 Praetor Assault Launcher x3 (1 to be built) Dominus Siege Bombard x1 Crassus Armoured Transport x1 Macharius Omega x1 Total: 9 Super Heavies.

Right, Time for a picture update. The StormBlade is completed. The New addition to the super heavy family. This BaneBlade had 5 layers, yes 5 layers of paint, that I scrubbed off. BioStrip 20 is the best thing I've used and recommend for others to try. It was harder work on the baneblade understandably however, I tested some Plastic and it was very easy to get the paint off. I have only base coated and painted the turrets, next I'll airbrush the tank and then glue it togeather. I've made an edit on my DKOK rough riders as they're officially Vostroyan Rough Riders.

I did it again, I do enjoy looking at it but it's always a ball ache to pack away. Conscripts, with Ogryns and Yarrick all tucked in a Crassius. All of my Vostroyan troops are painted, only need another set of three mortar teams. HQ and their Chimera.

That's some seriously impressive hardware on display. I must've missed the stormblade update, but that is looking great too.

Don’t know where I was when you posted your Roughriders! They look awesome.
As for the group shot, no wonder you love getting it all out! Looks incredible and most of it painted too!

Cheers Gents, I did a ninja post whilst you weren’t looking I’m close to completing the bane blade and made a start on the ShadowSword. I’ve made changes to the scheme of my Imperial Knight and started on a commander set which is a surprise. Plenty to come
