I`m moving out to the US in a few days time (coming from the UK on the Camp America programme) and I`m planning on continuing my army when I`m there. Could anyone give me some tips on the conversion rate though? Is it cheaper to buy the models in the UK or wait until I`m in the US? I`m presuming Forge World models will be too expensive. I am however thinking of going to the LA Games Day even so maybe I`ll buy them there.
Also, are there any good places were I could buy bitz from? Battlewagon seems a good option, are there any others?
Thanks

GW is pretty strong out here in the US, you shouldn't have any problems with continuing the hobby at the current rate which with you pay. welcome to the US (a bit early)!

suppose the exchange rate should be on your side. so hopefully everything nice and cheap. Check a few american websites. or even easier just check out the us gw shop site and the UK one.

I think that GW has got some production going on in the US so not everything is shipped from the UK.

Well, I`ve just arrived in the US and it looks as though I`m going to be fine to continue collecting and painting my miniatures. There is a big mall that has a GW store close to where I`m staying and I think the exchange rate works out to my advantage. All I have to do now is unpack my luggage and hope my paint collection made it through security.

Umm...Sir would you mind stepping over here for a moment? We believe you've been importing what? fake GW items? ! I was a bit worried about security not letting me take my paints through. Since that foiled plot in the UK there are restrictions on liquids and I was worried they may look at my box of multi coloured paints and think, no way! But it was all good.
