Where has the time gone? It has indeed been a while since I have made my way onto the boards. Another new job, long hours and with the way phones are now and days I have really had no need for a computer. But with the new job came a want, a want for a new army a grand army. Some of you may remember me from my old army here, commissar.proboards.com/thread/15094/tekus-18th-battalion-works-progress, I was never a good painter, hell if you search my name back far enough you may even find pictures of my very first army on here which we don't speak of for....... reasons.., however with all of your criticisms and help I was able to pull off an alright army. It was an army I was proud of because I had taken the time to learn and grow, and for that growth, I thank you all. However, there was always one thing I could never get right and that was resin. I hated the stuff, but Forgeworld put out some great pieces. Two of my favorites, in fact, the Tauros and the Tauros Venator. Those two vehicles and this board gave way to meeting a really great artist that has helped me out many times. Always a pleasure to work with his work speaks for itself.
So here we are a few years later, a few years wiser, and a burning in my wallet. I wanted another army and with my new job came a double-edged sword. I have the money, but not the time. So what pray tell do I do? So after thinking long and hard, reading over 8th edition and talking with a few friends trying to light a fire under them, I said screw it! I don't have the time to paint, but I know someone who does. I messaged Cosmic, who btw is starting commissions full time, to see if he had any openings. Thankfully he did and with that my new army was born.
And here she is.
Taking the theme from the last commission Cosmic did for me, which I loved, Cosmic jumped right into it. 3 Cadian defence force boxes, 1 Emperors fist squad, 4 Chimeras, 1 Baneblade, and a few other odds and ends. I wanted both a display army for home, and an all around army for the table. Something I could make mutipul lists from and not really have to worry about "NEEDING" anything. All the tanks are magnatized to allow all the varients, I also had Cosmic grab and paint 2 Forgeworld vanquisher turrets cause they look cooler, as well as the heavy weapons squads are all magnatized to allow the same. I have a few more troops being made at this moment, as well as a part 2 to this army which was backordered until a week or two ago, due to the fact that we ran out of troop parts to complete full bodys for all HW guys and I wanted more special weapons troops incase the need calls for it.
For now, and until Cosmic sends me over pictures he took, because my lighting sucks, I will leave you with these......
