Xenos Rampant is being released in about 2 weeks. It's a 28mm sci-fi mini agnostic wargame and I'm guessing you can use pretty much anything you already have to represent the models. Interestingly it can be adapted for Weird WW2 as well.

that's pretty cool. I really like miniature agnostic games, but it's super hard to find players for them over here so they never really take off.

It might be handy for situations where you know someone who plays either Bolt Action or Star Wars Legion and you have 40k models, 'cause then you can play a game together once you've worked the forces out. The one vehicle/ flyer/ soft vehicle limitation looks fair.
Although I'm not too partial to Primaris it would be fun playing against a Primaris marine army where every marine counts as a squad with 5 wounds; apparently you can do that with these rules.
North Star are offering a frame of 5 Troopers with the book if I order before the 22nd November. Very tempting, even though the postage is £7.50 Hmm... If I get it, I'll let you know more about it.

Please do actually. The one man squad of a marine is a cool idea and the versatility in models would definitely be a cool concept
