That is one sweet tank. What happened to the lascannons and twin linked heavy bolters though?

I believe this may be the original model that they made when they were coming up with the idea. It was shown at GamesDay 07 in Toronto, Canada.

dudes, seriously, I'm considering making a HEAVY armored company for apocolypse. do heavy tanks for the 'troops' with superheavies as the HQ and heavy support. I don't know if using the armored company doctrines would fly but that'd be awesome if it did with my friends.
oh right, I don't have unlimited cash...*snaps fingers* oh well, so much for pipe dreams!

With things like that roaming the battlefield anyone not in an armoured transport is history.

Very disappointed that they couldn't come up with anything better than "Vulcan"

the name's derrived from the Vulcan machine guns on modern aircraft.

I know that it is. I am just disappointed that FW didn't make an effort to make something else out of it. Just doesn't seem very logical. 40 millenia later and the technology is still called Vulcan? They don't call Artificial Intelligence AI anymore, they call it the Machine Spirit.

Just that Machine Spirit is a huge step back. They worship machines like gods because they don't know what an AI is...

Poor stupids of the 41st millenium, when will you learn...it is just a computer...

When they do learn that, they will invariably schism in the adeptus mechanicus. And then we'll have to make do without those lovely tanks, superheavies and Titans. Or make our own. Still, watching a bunch of heavily armed mechanics and scientists fight one another will be amusing to watch, if prefferably from a safe distance. (i.e the moon.)

LoL, I wanna be in the middle of the harshest fighting with dual bolt pistols, auto pistols and grenades! BRING IT ON GREASE MONKEY!!! * Shoots a mechanic in the head * Haha...hemm...
But yeah, they should really learn that there is no machine spirit.

Funnily enough, my HSO always manages to end up in melee. Him and his sanctioned psyker have so far killed in total: 11 terminators, 14 Assault marines, 30+ fire warriors, 2 Tau battlesuits and 5 necron Warriors. Funnnn.... And as for the term Vulcan? Its actually from the Roman god of fire+Forge originally, so, don't change a winning formula.
